Governor Usman Ododo Helped Yahaya Bello Evade Arrest – EFCC Official

Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello evaded arrest by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC officials have said.

The officials recently had their say while speaking to the press, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to one of the spokesmen, leveraging the immunity he enjoys as a current governor, Governor Usman Ododo helped Bello’s escape from EFCC operatives during another raid in Abuja.

He added that the Governor simply took him away and EFCC officials were unable to do anything.

His words, “Yahaya Bello has not been arrested. The Kogi State governor prevented operatives from doing their work yesterday just like he did the other time. He took him away and our men could not do anything because of the immunity he (Ododo) is enjoying.”
