I Will Pay Pensioners In Imo State Next Week – Emeka Ihedioha

Emeka IhediohaImo State Governor, Emeka Ihedioha has ordered the state Accountant General, the Head of Service (HOS) and the Commissioner for Finance to wrap up all important formalities for the commencement of the payment of pensions in the state next week.

Gov Emeka, who made this order at a one-day Pension Stakeholders Forum Owerri, also commanded government officials to work out the accurate stats involved in the payment.

He added that it was delayed up to this point because of the errors in the figures he received relevant offices when he resumed office.

Ihedioha said, to tackle the confusion, a committee was set up to enable his government to arrive at the right figure for the monthly payment of the pensions to those concerned, and to avoid potential double payment.

We wait to see how smooth the payment process would be.
