Popular comedian and actor, Amy Schumer has come out to reveal that she struggles with trichotillomania.

She recently had her say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.

According to her, Trichotillomania is a disorder that causes compulsive urges to pull out one’s hair, and she has been battling with the disorder for several years now.

Amy added that she had to make this revelation because she doesn’t want to live with the secret anymore.

Her words, “I think everybody has a big secret, and that’s mine.”

“And I’m proud that my big secret only hurts me, but it’s been what I’ve carried so much shame about for so long.”

“It’s not that I used to have this problem and now I don’t. it’s still something that I struggle with.”

“I really don’t want to have a big secret anymore, and I thought putting it in there would be good for me to alleviate some of my shame and maybe, hopefully, help others alleviate some of theirs, too.”
