Is Nigerian rapper Wale leaving Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group?

In October, Nigerian-American rapper Wale badmouthed his fellow MMG rapper Meek Mill during his interview on The Breakfast Show, kicking off a fresh feud between them.

I honestly think [Meek Mill] brought a pencil to a gun fight,” Wale said of the beef between Drake and Meek Mill. He ain’t bring a knife. He brought a pencil and a piece of paper. He tried to paper cut him to death. You can’t compete with somebody that got them type of relationships. It not a fair battle. Drake is dope, but Drake can say, ’I went to the bathroom. I had to pee.’ N-s would’ve been like, ’Damn! This na said he had to pee!’”

Meek Mill was not pleased with all Wale had to say about him and he took to his Instagram page to diss Wale. He claimed that Wale was no longer part of their MMG team. The fight was quelled by the boss, Rick Ross, who took to his page to address them as his ‘little brothers’, that they will remain ‘MMG forever.’

Just got a few calls, niggas asking about my little brothers, the squad,” Ross wrote. It’s MMG forever.”

Well, it seems Wale is done with MMG, as the Nigerian-American rapper has taken to his Snapchat to announce that he is signing a new contract with an undisclosed company. See his post:

But he is absolutely a tease as the post is intended to cause a stir he captioned it ‘contract/new management’, leaving fans divided, as many are wondering if he is merely switching management companies (of which he didn’t need all the fanfare), or if there is more.

For one, we can’t wait to see how Meek Mill reacts to this, especially because he has been so keen on seeing Wale leave MMG!
