UFC welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman has gone under the knife to repair an injury suffered before his most recent title defence.

He recently shared graphic photos on his social media page, and fans have been reacting.

According to UFC president, Dana White, he had to undergo hand ligament surgery today and he expects to be back in the ring very soon.

His words “Pound for pound best fighter in the world @USMAN84kg had hand ligament surgery today. This is the before and after. See you soon CHAMP.”
