Kaycee Madu Has Made Nigeria Proud With His Achievement – Abike Dabiri-Erewa

Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) has come out to hail Kaycee Madu, a Nigerian based in Canada, on his appointment as the first black Minister of Justice and Solicitor General for the government of Alberta.

She revealed this recently via a statement signed by Mr. Abdur-Rahman Balogun.

According to her, Kaycee Madu has proven his mettle and he deserves all the congratulations coming his way.

She added that he is very pleased for Mr. Madu on his well-deserved appointment and it further confirms that Nigerians in diaspora are our greatest asset.

His words, β€œWe are so happy for Mr Madu on his well deserved appointment. This confirms our saying that our Diasporans are our greatest asset making us proud globally.”

β€œIn this role, Minister Madu, as Minister of Justice will also be the Provincial Secretary and Keeper of the Great Seal of the Province of Alberta.”

Abike Kafayat Oluwatoyin Dabiri-Erewa (born October 10, 1962) was born in Jos Plateau State. She is a Nigerian politician and former member of the Nigeria Federal House of Representatives representing Ikorodu Constituency in Lagos State. She was the Chairman of the House Committee on Media & Publicity.

She was also the former Chair of the House Committee on Diaspora Affairs, and was elected for the first time in 2003, and re-elected in 2007 and 2011

In 2015, she was appointed as the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora. In November 2018, Dabiri-Erewa was given a new role of Chairman/CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission. The letter for the confirmation of her appointment was sent to the Senate in 2018 by the Presidency but was delayed until May 2019 when the Senate confirmed her appointment.

She was also a supporter of “Together Nigeria”; an independent advocacy group launched to work towards President Muhammadu Buhari’s 2019 re-election bid.
