Popular skitmaker Broda Shaggi has mourned the death of Nollywood icon, Olu Jacobs. He recently had his say via his social media page, and fans have been reacting.
Praying for the soul of the deceased to rest in peace, the content creator stated that the memories of Olu Jacobs on earth will never be forgotten.
Activist Mr Macaroni added that the legendary actor will be remembered for being an inspiration to many young Nigerians.
His words, “May his soul find eternal rest at the right hand of God, and may his memory live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.”
Mr Macaroni added, “Legend, Icon and an absolute Inspiration to us all!”
Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs, known professionally as Olu Jacobs, was a veteran Nigerian actor and film executive.
He began his career starring in several British television series and international films. Trained at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, England, Olu Jacobs worked with various repertoire theatres in Britain and starred in some international movies.
Jacobs was married to fellow Nollywood actor Joke Silva since 1989. They have two children.
Olu Jacobs was honoured with the Industry Merit Award for outstanding achievements in acting at the 2013 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.
