Real Madrid midfielder, Toni Kroos has backtracked on his claims over the greatest football of all time after Argentina’s World Cup final win.

Recall that the German had previously suggested that Ronaldo was the best to ever grace the football pitch, but he has had a change of mind recently.

According to him, he now believes that Messi deserves the title in terms of individual performances in a championship, and because he has never seen any player who plays football like the Argentine.

His words, “He (Messi) deserves it. In terms of individual performances in a championship, I’ve never seen a footballer play as regularly as this guy.”

“You have to take into account that he has never played for clubs that I find very funny, something that proves that I mean it.”
