Popular Nigerian author, Onyeka Nwelue has come out to say that many who get married do not do so out of love.

He recently had his say via his social media page, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, most people are getting married nowadays simply because they need shoulders to lean on, and not out of their love for their husband or wife.

He added that these people are tired of chasing their dreams alone in life, so they strive for marriage just to get support.

His words, “What most people do, is when they are tired of chasing their dreams alone, they get married to someone or something, for support, someone that will suffer with them. Most people who marry, are just looking for help and shoulders to lean on. Not because they love anybody.”

“The current set of people, advising me to get married, are divorcees. I know they want me to be miserable like them. But, I want to know if there is a special reason why the Devil asked them to choose me?”
