Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany has confirmed that Jamal Musiala will miss the club’s Bundesliga opener against Stuttgart on Friday. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, the German international is still working his way back to full fitness following a recent health scare that saw him sidelined during the pre-season schedule.
Providing an optimistic outlook on the midfielder’s progress, Kompany added that Musiala is currently responding well to treatment.
His words, “That means he’s getting used to the increase in medication, that’s he’s reacting well to it. He will be in the squad again sometime and he’ll play normally again, but of course we’ll take that decision hand in hand with all the (medical) experts and so on. He’s doing well. He’ll take part in team training today. But he won’t be in the squad tomorrow.”
