Nollywood actress Damilola Adegbite has advised single women to be intentional when choosing a partner. She recently had her say during a the latest episode of her podcast, which was published on her YouTube channel.
Stressing that being chosen by a man should not be the only reason to accept a relationship or marriage proposal, Damilola stated that women must always consider whether the person is genuinely compatible with them.
The moviestar added that the focus should not be on the fact that a prospective partner has chosen them, but on whether both individuals can build a healthy relationship together.
Her words, “Ladies, don’t choose someone because they chose you.
Choose someone because they are right for you; whether he’s younger, older or exactly your age, the question is always: Can we love, support, and build with each other?
Because at the end of the day, we are not looking for numbers. We are looking for a partner. And if that partner happens to be younger, that is also fine.”
