Ogun State Elders’ Consultative Forum has come out to beg all residents of the state to embrace peace and encourage dialogue at all times.

The appeal was recently contained in a press release signed in Abeokuta, by the Forum Chairman, Prince Bola Ajibola, and made available to newsmen by Dolapo Jinad, the forum’s Press Officer.

According to him, Ogun is popular for being a state for peaceful coexistence with non-indigenes, so that commendable reputation has to remain that way.

The forum then hailed the government for establishing Amotekun security outfit, which will collaborate with other security agencies to maintain peace in the state.

His words, “It is imperative for the good people of Ogun State to continue to engage in dialogue where there are issues and tolerate one another because one must be able to give peace a chance. No society can develop meaningfully without peace.”

“The outfit, it was stated will also bring those that are perpetrating the evil act to justice.”

Dapo Abiodun (born 29 May 1960) is a Nigerian businessman and politician, who is the Governor of Ogun State after winning the 2019 general elections under the platform of the All Progressive Congress. Dapo Abiodun was the board Chairman of the Corporate Affairs Commission.
