US singer, Billie Eilish has defended Drake for texting her when she was 17.

Eilish, who is now 18 recently disclosed that she and the 33-year-old Canadian rapper texted several times and fans blasted Drake for it, tagging such move creepy and inappropriate since she was still a minor.

However, speaking recently to Vogue for their March 2020 issue, Billie clarified things on her friendship with Drake and defended him from the many bashes he has received.

According to her, the internet is over sensitive and the rapper is only a fan.

She added the people that voted for Trump do not even have any right to talk about morality.

Her words, “The internet is such a stupid mess right now,”

“Everybody’s so sensitive. A grown man can’t be a fan of an artist?”

“so many people that the internet should be more worried about.”

“Like, you’re really going to say that Drake is creepy because he’s a fan of mine, and then you’re going to go vote for Trump?”

Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O’Connell is an American singer and songwriter. She first gained media attention in 2016 when she uploaded the song “Ocean Eyes” to SoundCloud, and it was subsequently released by Interscope Records subsidiary Darkroom. The song was written and produced by her brother Finneas, with whom she collaborates on music and live shows. Her debut EP, Don’t Smile at Me (2017), reached the top 15 in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia.

Eilish’s debut studio album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? (2019), debuted atop the Billboard 200 and became the best-performing album of 2019 in the US. It also reached number one in the UK. The album contains six Billboard Hot 100 top 40 singles: “When the Party’s Over”, “Bury a Friend”, “Wish You Were Gay”, “Xanny”, “Everything I Wanted”, and “Bad Guy”, the last of which became her first number one single in the US.

O’Connell was born in Los Angeles, California, on December 18, 2001. She is the daughter of actress and screenwriter Maggie Baird and actor Patrick O’Connell, both of whom are also musicians. Eilish is of Irish and Scottish descent. She was raised in Los Angeles’ Highland Park neighborhood. She was homeschooled and her mother taught her and her elder brother Finneas O’Connell basics of songwriting. Eilish wrote her first song at age four, while Finneas had been writing and producing his own songs and performing with his band. Their parents encouraged the siblings to express themselves and explore whatever they wanted, including art classes and acting.

Eilish had gone on some acting auditions, which she disliked. However, she enjoyed recording background dialogue for crowd scenes and worked on the films Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Ramona and Beezus, and the X-Men series. She performed at talent shows and joined the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus at age eight.
