Ex-Blancos goalkeeper Santi Canizares has questioned the board’s handling of Vinicius Junior. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
Stressing that the club should have extended Vini’s contract much earlier to protect its financial and sporting interests, Santi revealed that the Brazilian forward cannot be allowed to leave for nothing next summer.
Canizares added that the mismanagement of the contract situation has been unforgivable thus far.
His words, “The Real Madrid goes late in everything. If it is true that he does not have a signed agreement, Real Madrid has the obligation to sell him. You cannot lose 100 or a hundred and some million euros for letting a player finish his contract. I believe that it is going to happen. It is an unforgivable mismanagement.”
