Football icon Zlatan Ibrahimovic has hailed Manchester City midfielder Rodri after Spain’s clinical victory over France secured their spot in the World Cup final. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
Revealing that football won after Spain’s free-flowing style got the better of a disappointing France side, Zaltan praised Rodri for helping his team control the game and stifle the French midfield.
Ibrahimovic added that even though the Ballon d’Or winner does not get enough praise, he is a magnificent footballer.
His words, “I have to mention, Rodri was all over the place. What a game, what a player. He’s a player who doesn’t get a lot of credit, but this game he was everywhere. He was just magnificent. Football won today.
They took the command from first minute until the last minute. They were feeling alive. They were active. They wanted it. They ran those extra meters.
Every duel they went in, they wanted to win it. When they were attacking, they were convinced. They took the initiative. You could see every pass they did was like: ‘we want this’. And the opposite when it comes to France.”
