Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has said that Luke Shaw suffered a minor injury against Everton. He recently had his say after the England international missed the Manchester Derby at Old Trafford.
Speaking ahead of the game, Carrick explained that Shaw narrowly missed out on making the matchday squad and will be back very soon.
The coach added that he believes Dorgu is a capable replacement because he has played in that position before.
His words, “Close, very close, just not quite there.
It’s very small but unfortunately not for today.”
On Dorgu, “Pat’s a good player, he’s played there before.
Fully trust in Pat, he played very well in midweek. Slightly different game today but we fully trust him.
It’s always about your team-mates helping each other and we will look for that today.
He can certainly play there. He has done, without doubt. I’m not sitting here saying he can’t do that. It’s just the way we’ve been since I’ve been here.”
