Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has urged South-East political leaders to abandon opposition politics and embrace greater integration with the Federal Government. He recently had his say at a stakeholders’ meeting on Sunday in Awka, and Nigerians have been reacting.
Stressing that the coalition of political parties in support of Tinubu’s re-election represents a new direction for the region’s political engagement, Soludo stated that the era of opposition politics, which became prominent in the South-East during the 2015 general elections, should give way to active participation in governance at the centre.
He added that considerable work is required at the grassroots to change public perception of the government and mobilise support for the president.
His words, “If 5,000 votes could attract these projects to our state and the region, imagine what would happen if we mobilised the electorate to give him massive support.”
