The Presidential candidate of Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi has come out to say that he would end strikes in Nigerian universities and other tertiary institutions if he is elected president.

He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, the constant strike situation has clearly crippled university education in the country for years now, and it must stop for the progress of our educational system.

Peter Obi added that education is not an expense but an investment, so it should be taken seriously.

His words, “There is nothing big about funding the universities. Funding a university is the collaboration of everybody. Education is not an expense but an investment. We’ll make sure that nothing stops education.”

“We shall give students loans which they will pay when they get jobs.”
