KOWA Party has distanced itself from reports in which it was listed among political parties endorsing Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State in the governorship polls scheduled for November 16.
According to the party, the people that carried out this endorsement were not cleared to do so by the national leadership.
The party said, “Whatever happened was an individual’s action or a few individuals at the state level without the official approval of the party’s national leadership and, to that extent, it’s of no value.”
The acting National Chairman of KOWA Party, Mark Adebayo, in a recent statement, said it had started investigating the circumstances that led to the alleged endorsement, adding that “appropriate disciplinary measures shall be applied on whoever is culpable.”
We wait to see how this will pan out.
