The palace of the Ooni of Ife has said that Nollywood actor Baba Ijesha was not conferred with a chieftaincy title by the king. The Ooni’s spokesperson, Moses Olafare, recently addressed the rumoured car gift to the actor, and fans have been reacting.
Emphasizing the king’s past generosity to others, Moses revealed that while he is aware that the moviestar received a car from the Ooni, he doesn’t know anything about a chieftaincy title.
Olafare added that anyone who knows the Ooni of Ife must be aware of his love for gifting cars to his guests.
His words, “I am not aware of the chieftaincy title, but I am aware of the car.
Kabiyesi gives cars to people. This is not the first time.
He has given cars to so many people, including kings and individuals, and it is not a new thing.”
