Babcock graduating student loses 8 family members in auto crash

Margaret Okwuikpo, one of the best graduating student from Babcock University’s�School of Nursing Science lost eight members of her family in an auto accident which occurred in Port Harcourt, Rivers state on Friday.

According to�The Nigerian Tribune�report, Miss Okwuikpo lost her father, grandmother, sisters, brothers and cousin in a motor accident �while on their way to the University located at Ilishan Remo, Ogun state to witness her convocation ceremony slated for Sunday.

Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Professor Kayode Makinde, drew the emotion of the audience at the graduation ceremony of the university, when he invited �her to the podium for special prayers over the unfortunate incident.

Reports say the family hired a Lagos bound 14-passenger bus from Port-Harcourt �which got involved in an accident just 15 minutes after it left the park.

Okwuikpo’s mother, brother in-law and two others are said to be in critical conditions in the hospital.
