NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi has congratulated eliminated African countries that represented the continent at the FIFA World Cup. He recently had his say via his X platform, and Nigerians have been reacting.
Hailing Cape Verde in particular, Obi described the country’s qualification for the knockout stage as evidence that effective leadership, planning and strong institutions can overcome limitations of size and population.
Reflecting on Nigeria’s absence from the World Cup, Peter added that the country’s failure to qualify is a result of years of poor administration, weak institutions and ineffective leadership.
