A coalition of Muslim leaders under the aegis of the Concerned Muslim Stakeholders and League of Alfas in Osun State has questioned Governor Ademola Adeleke for saying his administration has done more for Muslims than previous governments.
Recall that the group recently declared its support for the governorship ambition of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, ahead of the August 15 governorship election.
Speaking at a press conference in Osogbo, the group’s President, Sheikh Qozeem AbdulRahaman, said the group disagreed with the Adeleke administration’s assessment of its record on issues affecting the Muslim community, stressing that some projects cited by the government do not reflect the level of completion described by the governor.
He added that the election presents an opportunity for voters to assess candidates on issues of governance, fairness and leadership.
