Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) has shared how he gave his wife the biggest payment he has ever received in his acting career. He recently had his say during an appearance on The Morayo show, and fans have been reacting.
Describing himself as a hopeless romantic, the moviestar revealed that he once handed over a ₦100M cheque to his woman and asked her to keep it for herself.
Concluding that the era of flowers and chocolates as love gestures is over, RMD joked that women seem to appreciate financial gifts more nowadays.
His words, “The first time I had the biggest cheque I’ve ever had in my life, I had like a 100m cheque.
So I said, ‘Give it to my wife.’ When she got it, she said, ‘You want me to keep it for your children?’
So I said, ‘No, keep it for yourself.’”

Film-making in Nigeria is divided largely along regional, and marginally ethnic and religious lines. Thus, there are distinct film industries – each seeking to portray the concern of the particular section and ethnicity it represents. However, there is the English-language film industry which is a melting pot for filmmaking and filmmakers from most of the regional industries.
