Popular Nigerian singer Skales has come out to debunk a viral claim alleging that he divorced his wife because she mocked his music career.

He recently had his say via his social media page, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, the tweet was made up on X and circulated by blogs that quickly jumped on the story without doing their due diligence, and he never made any post like that.

Skales firmly denied ever uttering such a statement, let alone jumping on social media to tweet about it.

The fake tweet that went viral by @VERITY_HQ read, “I divorced my wife because of a comment she made on my post and I don’t regret it… People cannot be mocking your husband’s music career… and you join.”

Skales replied, “I have never made such statement and this is false… pls stop spreading lies.”
