Popular Hollywood actress, Lupita Nyong’o has come out to share some of the messages of support she has received since her breakup with Selema Masekela.

She recently had her say via posts shared on her Instatories, and fans have been reacting.

She cited a motivational phrase from author R.H. Sin with the words, “Let the healing begin,” and also quoted travel blogger, Jessica Nabongo who wrote, “When we stand in our truth, it allows others to do the same. Sending love.”

Lupita even shared a message from Georgia State Representative Inga Willis which read, “Vulnerability is a superpower. We lift you up with love, and assemble the sisterhood circle around your heart.”

The movie star had been in a relationship with the TV host and sports commentator, 52, since 2022.

Lupita Amondi Nyong’o is a Mexican-Kenyan actress. She is the recipient of several accolades, including an Academy Award, and a Daytime Emmy Award with nominations for a Tony Award and a Golden Globe Award.

Lupita Amondi Nyong’o was born on 1 March 1983 in Mexico City to Kenyan parents, Dorothy Ogada Buyuand Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o, a college professor. The family had left Kenya in 1980 for a period because of political repression and unrest; Peter’s brother, Charles Nyong’o, disappeared after he was thrown off a ferry in 1980.

Nyong’o is developing a television series based on Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s novel Americanah, which she will produce and star in. She will produce and star in Born a Crime, a film adaptation of Trevor Noah’s memoir of the same name, in which she will portray Noah’s mother, Patricia. She will be reuniting with director Abe Forsythe and the creative team behind the horror comedy film Little Monsters for a starring role in a science fiction comedy film.

She will also produce an animated musical based on her number-one best-selling children’s book, Sulwe (2019), for Netflix. In addition, Nyong’o will star in the horror film A Quiet Place: Day One.
