Former Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry has urged Kylian Mbappe to test himself in the EPL before retirement. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, Mbappe should make the move to the Etihad Stadium to ensure he does not mirror Lionel Messi in never playing in England’s top flight.
Barry added that the EPL will continue to be the ultimate litmus test for the world’s elite talent.
His words, “It’s a shame when world-class players like Mbappe haven’t spent time in the Premier League. We would have loved to see Messi here, but that won’t happen. We don’t want Mbappe’s career to pass without him testing himself in the hardest league in the world.
Manchester City is always primed to sign the best in the world. If Mbappe wants to try the Premier League, I’m sure they’ll be at the forefront. I’d love to see him in a City shirt,”

Mbappé stated that the development of African sport is important to him due to his parents’ African origins.
