Benue State Government has come out to place an embargo on mid-term breaks and visiting days for students of all boarding schools in the state.

The Commissioner for Education, Prof. Dennis Ityavyar recently revealed this in Makurdi, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, the decision is part of measures to enforce the COVID-19 safety protocol, which is in the best interest of both parents and students.

He then urged parents to strictly adhere to the directive in order to safeguard their children from contracting the deadly virus.
