Popular media personality Oprah Winfrey has finally revealed her real name. She recently had her say during an interview with Keke Palmer, and fans have been reacting.
Confirming that her real name is actually Orpah, Oprah noted that she had to change it because people kept getting the spelling wrong.
The legendary talk show host added that she had been unaware of the spelling confusion until she saw it on her birth certificate.
Her words, “It wasn’t what made me, I was a kid.
Nobody knew how to spell it. So it turned out on my birth certificate, it’s Orpah but then people started calling me Oprah.
It’s just the difference of the ‘p’ being before the ‘r’ or after the ‘r’.
Once they started with Oprah, that’s it.”
