Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (PDP, Kogi Central) has formally declared her intention to seek re-election for a second term. The announcement was made during the Kogi Central Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Stakeholders’ Meeting, where party leaders and supporters gathered to deliberate on the future of the party in the district.

Citing wide consultations and sustained support from constituents and family, Natasha said that her decision followed months of appeals and endorsements from across the five local government areas of Kogi Central.

She concluded by stressing the need for unity within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and urging stakeholders to prioritise reconciliation and inclusiveness ahead of future elections.

Her words, “After due consultations and encouragement from my husband, I have accepted your calls to re-contest for a second term as your senator.

This is the time to bring everyone back home. We must reconcile with those who may have had issues, for the betterment of our party and success in the elections ahead.”
