Everton manager David Moyes has admitted that Iliman Ndiaye’s sale was a financial necessity. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, even though the transfer has deprived his team of a player who guarantees goals and assists, the club needed to make some money.
Moyes added that it was always going to be tough to keep the Senegalese forward after Manchester City came calling.
His words, “We were looking to get some money in.
We lost Ndiaye, which is someone who we definitely didn’t want to lose, but sometimes it is difficult when the likes of Man City come along.
Some things went against us and some things we could have done better. Ultimately we didn’t want to lose a lot of the different players but for reasons that had to happen.”
