Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has reacted to the viral killing that took place in Delta State. She recently raised further questions about the Nigerian police force, and fans have been reacting.

Sharing a picture of the officer allegedly involved, Yvonne stated that Nigerian policemen have been taking the lives of those who once fought for police reform during the 2020 EndSARS protests.

The moviestar concluded by questioning why the erring officer was not deployed to confront bandits in the forest instead.

Film-making in Nigeria is divided largely along regional, and marginally ethnic and religious lines. Thus, there are distinct film industries – each seeking to portray the concern of the particular section and ethnicity it represents. However, there is the English-language film industry which is a melting pot for filmmaking and filmmakers from most of the regional industries.
