Too Many People Want To Stain My Reputation In The Music Industry – Naira Marley

Popular singer, Naira Marley has come out to say that he will come back to Nigeria for the investigation being carried out into the controversial demise of his former signee, Mohbad.

He recently had his say during an interview with Reno Omokri, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, he intends to come around and clear his name only if the security agencies can guarantee his safety.

Naira added that there are a lot of angry people who are trying to stain his reputation in the industry, but they are all liars.

His words, “100% if they can guarantee my safety. There are a lot of angry men that don’t want me there. They know the truth but they have been poisoned by the media. If they can guarantee my safety, I will be there.”

“There is no truth whatsoever. Even if you look at his police statement, he never mentioned Naira Marley involved. I do not have any issue whatsoever with him. I have never instructed anybody to touch him. I have never touched him. You will never see a video of me touching him. I have never sent anybody to touch him. That is just lies.”

Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (8 June 1996 – 12 September 2023), known professionally as MohBad, was a Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter from Lagos. He was formerly signed to Naira Marley’s Marlian Records and left the label in 2022.

He was best known for his hit singles “Ponmo, Feel Good”, and “KPK (Ko Por Ke)” (You Will Always Be Remembered) with Rexxie which was nominated three times for The Headies awards 2022.

He released his debut album, Light, in the fourth quarter of 2020 as a follow-up to his viral song “Ponmo,” which featured Naira Marley and Lil Kesh. MohBad was nominated five times for The Beatz Awards 2021.

Naira Marley served as executive producer for the eight-track EP, which also bears the production stamps of SB, Rexxie, P.Beat, and Austin Sinister.
