Pope Francis has come out to say that surrogate motherhood is a despicable practice that should be universally banned for its commercialization of pregnancy.

He recently had his say during his foreign policy address to ambassadors, and the world has been reacting.

According to him, an unborn child must not be turned into an object of trafficking by potential parents, and surrogacy is a grave violation of the dignity of the woman and the child.

Pope Francis added that no child should ever be the basis of a commercial contract.

His words, “An unborn child must not be turned into an object of trafficking. I consider despicable the practice of so-called surrogate motherhood, which represents a grave violation of the dignity of the woman and the child, based on the exploitation of situations of the mother’s material needs.

A child should never be the basis of a commercial contract.”

WOW.
